Major Trade : Military Training
Commander in Force : Hans G. Ryker

During the reign of King Rictor he needed more stations for his soldiers. He employed the services of one young rising military star soon to be captain, Hans Ryker. Hans Ryker was a young brash commanding man who took the lead at every chance. He would take the task of starting a waypoint beyond Mauerstein with great pride.

King Rictor gave Ryker the command of 50 men and set him off to the west with his task. He was given a fortune in jacks and a caravan loaded with materials to build a small starter station. Ryker and his crew headed west and explored for a year or so before finding the perfect spot. They claimed a place right on the ocean and named it Recoome.

Ryker would spend the next 10 years of his life dedicated to building the city of Recoome as a military city. They built barracks and training facilities in all aspects of the military. They built ports on the ocean for military fishing boats and for a safe dock for all ships passing in the area. With posts open Castle Tumult would supply them with everything they needed to fortify the city.

After the death of King Rictor, Ryker was called back to Castle Tumult to be assigned to a new mission. Cyrus’ lack of care for Ryker’s achievements and respect for his city bothered him greatly. Ryker’s loyalty to the royal army did not sway him.

Without Ryker Recoome would open its gates and become lenient to anyone wanting entrance to the city. People wanting to train freely in the city began to make their way there. Before that, no one but royal soldiers were allowed in. Only royal trades existed in the city until the doors were open to everyone. With so many people coming and going and no major direction for the city goals would ever develop. It would remain for years as a city with a hodgepodge of people with no stand amongst the other cities of Aiteagen.

Chapter 2

After the uprising Recoome was at the front of the monsters assault for years. King Cyrus would send soldiers to help defend the city. Recoome became a drop spot for many royal soldiers who wanted to see the action on the front lines. Years would go by as Recoome became a city know for bloodshed. People would joke that if you felt suicidal just request a transfer to Recoome.

Recoome would become famous overtime for its training of soldiers during the uprising. It also became a major point of control for the royal army during the uprising. If it wasn’t for Recoome people believe many of the monsters uprising would have surged harder into the east from the Aonach Mountains.

When the skies turned black and the dead surged into the lands Recoome stood ready. The soldiers occupying the city knew something bad was going to happen and readied themselves. For a year nothing happened until word got back that King Cyrus was dead.

Captain Ryker was the one who delivered the news to Recoome that year with a force of extremely loyal soldiers. His small army was so incredibly trained no opposition stood a chance. Ryker plowed his way into the city killing and maiming anyone who stood in his path. His military coupe would claim the city in the name of Captain Ryker. His soldiers named him commander and declared an undying loyalty to him and his goals.

Over the next year Ryker would rebuild the city in his view. Anyone who was not going to join his army was either hung for disobedience or ostracized from the city. His military control over the city would become known in the lands as the most tightly controlled tight niche group for anyone to have to deal with in all of Aiteagen.

Ryker picked up where he left off and started a trade between Brazen and Stallport. He would trade specialized military training for fish, gold and iron ore. Recoome does not allow anyone into the gates unless they are soldiers of another army coming for training. Civilians are told to go around the walls and move along. Even if people are outside the gates dying they will not be allowed in. Only people who dedicate themselves to Rykers’ army to the death are allowed in and they must possess some fighting skill or a professional trade of some sort. Recoome also charges any ships entering their docks a fee for protection if they aren’t dropping off any shipments.
