Years after Castle Tumult was built and thing were in full swing the king gave a task to two men. These two men were the owners of a small fleet of four ships. Zack Dolarath and Peter Zangor were the two captains of this small fleet. The king supplied these men with royal soldiers and a healthy amount of jacks. Their mission was to sail around the continent and map the shore and report back to Castle Tumult.
The two men set sail on a cold winter day. They were loaded up with cartographers, astronomers and able bodied men. They headed south and sailed for a year down and around the coastline of Aiteagen. They had very little problems until they began to turn north. They rounded the south west corner of the continent and up into the Stall Gulf. The Stall Gulf is an area known for treacherous circular waters causing ships to stall in their progress.
Terrible storms hit the gulf as they arrived in it causing serious problems. To the sailors a catastrophe was on their hands and they needed a place to dock their ships before something terrible happened. They sailed through the storm to the northern point of the gulf and noticed a village. The group dropped anchor and headed to the shore.
Zack and Peter's men made it to the village during the downpour and were met by a surprise. The village was actually a well kept town and occupied by civilized Orcs! This was the first time the Stallport orcs met humans on Aiteagen. To the groups surprise the Orcs welcomed them into the village and supplied them with a place to stay and some really strong orcish ale call Grogg.
The group ended up staying in the village for another week before heading back to their ships. Some of the men decided to stay behind. Some were scholars who were intent on learning the language and culture. Some were soldiers who wanted to learn a new way of fighting and some were just unattractive to a human female and to the female orc they were most handsome creatures they have ever met.
Zack and Peter's group went on to the north to sail the rest of the coast line and their fate will be told later in other tales. The remaining group of humans left behind started to assimilate into the orcish society. Overtime the humans would breed with the crcs creating a society of half-orcs, orcs and humans all living peacefully together.
Stallport would eventually build ships and send them out establishing a trade route with Recoome, Brazen, Kerst, Port Maldor and Stellbor. The Ma'alet Mountains to the east of Stallport has been a source for iron ore and gold for the town. These ores have been traded for centuries between the Stallport orcs and Ba'ath Morgul ogres which is the cause for the only major road out of Stallport. Stall port also have a very rich and successful fishing trade as well. The circular waters of the Stall Gulf strand fish and make them easy to catch. The Stallportians have developed a type of ship to navigate the waters of the gulf and treacherous sea off the coasts of Aiteagen. These ships are called Waklae Shay which translates from orcish as “water cutters.” They are purchased by many finishing communities and are considered the best ships in the world.
Chapter 2
Four years ago the uprising caused serious problems for the people of Stallpport. Monsters erupted from the mountains and waylaid the city nearly turning it into a burning pile of rubble. There was never any reason for this occurrence other than it just happening. Many of the Stallport soldiers were killed along with a long lineage of Half-orcs and orcs.
The trade routes were disrupted for years following these attacks along with the ship building. It took years for Stallport to recover from the disaster. The tragedy did help Stallport notice their weakness which was the lack of local muscle to help defend them. The people of Stallport invested a large amount of jacks into hiring Half-Ogre soldiers and Dwarven engineers. The ogres were hired into their army and the dwarves designed impenetrable stone walls.
The Stallportians were just getting back to half operation when the skies turned black two years after the near destruction of the city. The people could only imagine what was to happen next. Nothing happened except a major delay in the arrival of ships from Castle Tumult. It took a year before they heard anything back about what happened.
Now Stallport retains it trade specialties. They ship Gold, Iron and the Waklae Shay all over Aiteagen. Stall port is very heavily protected from the sea by the water of Stall Gulf. The path to the city by land is very hard to traverse if the main road is not followed for the Ma'alet Mountains are extremely treacherous. The governor of the city comes from a long line of orcs whom have run the city and his name is Kra'ath Begorath. His family lineage has never been a violent, confrontational orc tribe unlike others. They have always promoted hard work and education which is very rare for an orc tribe. Many half-orcs come from stallport as well and go train in Ba'ath Morgul and Tundras. Few humans reside in Stallport other than the scholars who come to learn the orcish language and way of life.
