Tumult
pop 35,000 est.
Major trade: Armor and Weapons
Governor Elect: Sam C. Noggin

Castle Tumult was built in a matter of 5 years from the time after all the fleets first made land fall in Port Maldor. The first King was King Jackirit, all the money in the land was named after him. He is one of the few kings the people enjoyed and thought did a good job for the people. He started the first cities and dispatched the first groups of people to for new lands and places to live.

During the reign of King Jackirit Caldoria was built and so was Hope. A second castle was built for King Xul and this place was called Lockhart. Castle lockhart wanted control of all the lands and began to oppose King Jackirit and his royal army. King Xul started an uprising which caused a major war to break out over all the lands. The war raged on for 15 years until Lockhart fell to the royal army. King Jackirit had control of all the cities and lands at that point with a few left over enemies. The remaining enemies to the king were rounded up and forced into slavery. For the next 80 years Castle Tumult would force people into slavery to build cities, roads and anything the king desired.

King Jackirit reigned for 33 years until he died of natural causes. Many people were saddened by this and welcomed their new ruler King Mortavius the son of King Jackirit a great leader and general. Under the rule of King Mortavius Brazen was founded. With the development of brazen this helped solidify the hold Castle Tumult had on the lands and squashed all resistance. Towards the end of his rule King Mortavius caused the start of The Elf War with his old age and stubbornness. Some believe he was assisinated by the elves. This thrust his son, an inexperienced leader, into power. King Rictor took the throne hell bent on revenge against the elves.

King Rictor only ruled for about 6 years before he was found mysteriously dead in his chambers one morning. Some say he was poisoned by his brother in a bid for the throne. King Cyrus was only ten years younger than King Rictor. King Cyrus ruled the throne with an iron fist. He made very few people happy and caused much unrest in the lands with his style of rule. The only thing Cyrus managed to do successfully is to end the war with the elves and establish a trade route again and a peaceful existence.

Under the rule of King Cyrus places like the Black Tower and Kerst were founded. King Cyrus was such an abomination to deal with the people of Mauerstein closed off all access to their city and refused to no longer pay taxes.

Rumors circulated all over the kingdom that Cryus was working with the monsters and supplying them with slaves. King Cyrus was forced by the possibility of an uprising to abolish slavery in order to retain his stature.

King Cyrus was feared and hated more than any other king for he had more enemies than he had friends. Some say his downfall would come by the people whom were once enslaved or by the hand of Mulla Xul or even his own wife.

Chapter 2

The center of all attention and controversy, Castle Tumult has fallen. King Cyrus was killed by an unlikely pair of individuals and this broke apart the last remaining ruling family. Castle Tumult has now been turned over to the people. A large luxurious castle remains half ruined and uninhabited on the edge of a city. It is rumored that the castle is haunted by the ghost of King Cyrus and Prince Janus. The people decided to name their town Tumult.

When King Cyrus was killed the army of undeads marched in on the people. The story of how this army was defeated will be told in other tales, undeads from the realm of pure evil wreaked havoc on the town, people and royalty. Royal guards fought their best to fend off the fiends but the surge was over whelming. The castle was destroyed along with half the town. Many people fled to never return.

King Cyrus last remaining lineage Prince Janus was found dead by the hand of the undead. Queen Uathok simply vanished and has yet to be accounted for. His most famous investigator Richard Noggin has yet to surface, he was feared by the laws he protected set forth by King Cyrus. Now without royal protection some very powerful people in Kerst want him dead. Mulla Xul has moved on to rule like he believed his lineage deserves.

The townsfolk decided to rebuild after a year of hiding from the danger. It took several patrols and adventure parties to clear the surrounding area of the evil presence but the demons were eventually purged. The army of dead that surged from the outer world have never been tracked down as to where the majority went to. The rumors still circulate around Tumult that the demons made their way across the lands to Lockhart.

Now Tumult has built itself as a town for training soldiers and blacksmiths. On a daily basis gladiator fights are held in tumult to test the strength and skill of the soldiers who come there to train. The gladiator matches are never to the full death, and in the case of such accidental happenings there is always a healer or sage with resurrecting ability nearby. The soldiers that come to tumult to train have their own affiliations to other cities and armies. There is a general consensus of the lands that Tumult is the place to go to test your abilities and strengths against the lands greatest fighters. Rumors circulate that there are secret gladiator matches in the bowels of Castle Tumult once where the pits used to be. Some say these matches are to the death and the winners are rewarded with weapons of great power.

The blacksmiths became privy to these happenings in Tumult and began to make their way there. With so many soldiers training and fighting daily they knew that was the best place to sell their wares. The competition over the past year or so has become thick enough to drive down the prices of some of the best swords and armor available in all of Aiteagen. Even the Dwarves have made their way to Tumult to peddle their wares.

During the rebuilding period of Tumult a leader came forward with a great lineage that has instilled the people with confidence. The 23 year old son of Richard Noggin, the great investigator to the king, Sam C. Noggin stepped forward to lead the people. The people of Tumult naturally graduated to a democracy and elected Sam to governorship of the city. The people were clearly sick of tyrannical rule and wanted freedom and prosperity.

Tumult retains its grandeur and power as a named town in the lands. Some people still consider it the capital of Aiteagen.
