Ba'ath Morgul

The streets are dusty and the buildings old and ragged. Like an old western town most the builds have open stoops and swinging doors. The town is inhabited by Orges and Half Ogres and considered a very rowdy bunch as well. There is no definite history as to how Half Orges came to exist in the city.
Ba'ath Morgul has supposedly existed for over 500 years and maybe longer. The Ogres who have inhabited the town have never been much for keeping track of history. The Ogre race has not been considered one of scholarly nature as well. There is the occasional religious Ogre Shaman who will prove themselves smarter than the average Ogre but this doesn't guarantee them leadership. Most of the leaders throughout the years have been the roughest and toughest Ogre amongst all challengers. Every week many Morgulians gather in the center of town to have their grievances heard. Sometimes this can lead to a challenge to the leadership. The challenge for leadership becomes a spectacle for the whole city.
To challenge for leadership in Ba'ath Morgul one has to be of Ogre descent. If one meets this one simple requirement the challenge is almost always accepted. The game they play for leadership is called “Pra'asch Orrg” translated from Ogrish means “Push Out”. The game is played in a smaller square than normal from the team based version of Pra'asch Orrg. The square is about ten feet by ten feet wide and each ogre is handed a hammer or club of choice and faces each other in the square. The object of the game is to push the other opponent out by any means possible. Sometimes the battle can get pretty intense and bloody and the crowds love it. If the challenger beats Da Boss the challenger does not automatically win. Da Boss has the right to challenge the challenger to a fight to the death and it normally comes down to that if Da Boss loses. This is just one of many games played in Ba'ath Morgul.
There is not much for trade that comes out of Ba'ath Morgul. The ogres spend the majority of their days hunting, eating, drinking and playing games. This is why the town is in very poor condition with not to many new buildings are built in a year or renovations being done. The ogres of Ba'ath Morgul don't involve themselves much with trade or civics amongst other cities. The economy is considerably poor in Ba'ath Morgul and offers little jobs to anyone. In the past 200 years the other races have made an effort to live in the city and few succeed. They are normally run off by bullies or there is no money to be made unless you are a blacksmith or weaponsmith.
Many of the cities hire the local muscle for quests and patrols. The ogres show loyalty only to those with the most jacks, jewels or to the strongest warrior.
Chapter 2
The ogres are very superstitious and religious. When the skies turned dark the most important person to the Morgulians were the shamans in town. Like elephants afraid of mice the ogres cowered from what they would call “voodoo magic.” Over the course of a year the Ogres became very suspicious of anyone coming into the city. Over time the fear would fade for nothing would happen.
The ogres easily digressed back to their old ways, drinking, fighting and playing games. Many fighters make their way to ba'ath morgul to partake in the daily games that go on in the city. From the team based Pra'asch Orrg to the fields for playing Goblin Skull Ball these are great training exercise for many warriors. The strength of the ogres is a test to anyone not of ogre descent.
Nothing of any value comes from the city. No one ever tries to take control of the city for the smell alone drives most non ogres away. Ba'ath Morgul is considered one o fthe most civilized ogre towns in the world and that's not saying much. The ogres are still hired to do brute work and much money is to be made for weapon smiths and brew masters. Ba'ath Morgul remains a city that will probably never change and stay as it has for the past 500 years.
